Introducing the iBuilding Cloud

A premium cloud hosting environment for your Niagara 4 & iBuilding Energy systems. Built and managed exclusively by One Sightsolutions, the iBuilding Cloud is a high performance, secure and resilient infrastructure hosted in a top tier UK datacenter just outside of London UK.

The iBuilding Cloud has been built using only tried & tested ‘enterprise grade’ hardware and software solutions by our own highly skilled IT staff who are on hand at all times to ensure our infrastructure operates as designed 24/7/365.

One Sightsolutions being a forward thinking business, have understood the close relationship between IT & Building systems since IP based protocols first landed many years ago. As such, over the past few years One Sightsolutions have invested heavily in ensuring we have immediate, in-house access to both the skills & technology required to allow building systems to leverage the many advantages provided by a modern, connected world.

This does not effect data points collected from a JACE via the Niagara network, these points are included as standard.

All of our hosting options have been fully tested and resources sized appropriateley to garauntee unhindered performance upto the max permitted device/point count per tier. Our Niagara 4 iBuilding Cloud hosting packages include a whole host of features designed to take the pain out of correctly deploying a Niagara 4 system. These include items such as automated daily backup + offsite replication, full IT security management including OS patching & set up, signed SSL/TLS certifcate, DNS record creation and IPv6 readiness.

NOW INCLUDED!

The One Sightsolutions DRIVER PACK!

Included as standard with each of our Niagara 4 hosting options is our new driver pack. This currently includes 3 Niagara drivers/services delevoped in house by One Sightsolutions:

OSS Rest API

OSS API brings secure RESTful web service connectivity to the Niagara framework. Our API service installs within a Niagara 4 station and creates a comprehensive API endpoint with which third party software packages/developers may interact with. OSS API provides the ability to retrieve any history within the Niagara station in JSON formatted output, as well as live point data. In addition to reading, the API also provides write functionality should the third party software need to feedback data into your Niagara system.

Security has been at the heart of this service since development day 1. As such our OSS API service implements the OAUTH standard for authentication as used by the majority of all modern REST API services. On top of this, client applications must be manually trusted by a human operator before any interaction may happen. This ensures maximum security, whilst still maintaining maximum connectivity

OSS Charts

OSS Charting is a Niagara 4 module which provides a wealth of new chart widgets for your station graphics. Making use of modern web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3 and Scalable Vector Graphics results in charts and dials that look great in Workbench and in the web browser, and do not rely on the out-dated Java Applet.

Comprehensive charts showing multiple trends at a time can make use of an interactive feature which enables users to isolate and highlight trends for individual examination, also with full responsiveness to adapt to range of screen measurements. The numerous charting options available at ease can be combined to create engaging and sophisticated dashboards, giving you complete control over how you choose to demonstrate and analyse information.

OSS FTP Client

OSS FTP is an FTP client that sits within a Niagara station and allows you to upload any file from within said station to any specified FTP server. Files or entire directories may be uploaded manually or on a schedule set by the user. Each upload task is configured as an individual entity meaning that different files may be uploaded to different destinations on different schedules.

This is ideal for extracting reports or CSV files generated from Niagara historical data and uploading automatically to an analytics platform or a third party energy management platform for example.

  • Upload CSV’s, PDF’s & More via standard FTP
  • Transfer single files or whole directories
  • Automatic Scheduling
  • Multiple configurable uploads

How do I sign up & How does it work?

If you have an upcoming project/requirement for a Niagara 4 system then the iBuilding Cloud is the perfect environment to host your new system head end and provides all the benefits of a system in the cloud. Please get in touch with us via phone or email and we will be happy to help.

Upon placing an order we will get to work configuring your system right away and you can expect it to be ready within 1-2 working days. Upon completion, you will receive confirmation via email along with all required access information. Its then as simple as opening Niagara workbench or a web browser on your machine and connecting to your new station in the ibuilding cloud!

The iBuilding Cloud is operated as a managed service and as such access to the server desktops/niagara platform is not provided as standard. This is done to protect platform integrity and enhance security. However access to the platform can be arranged by request should it be required for reasons such as a new module install, alternativeley this can be done by our own staff on your behalf.

Our operating system of choice for all Niagara hosting options is RHEL/Centos 64 bit Linux.
